I love it when local Tampa Bay area families book us to photograph their family portrait sessions at one of our amazingly beautiful gulf beaches! This sweet family was able to schedule a mini getaway for a couple of fun days staying at Sand Pebble Resort in Treasure Island Florida. By now, I know to keep active boys busy moving around and enjoying the sand and surf during our family portrait sessions!

St Pete Beach Treasure Island Three Generations Beach Portraits at Sunset

Sometimes a girls vacation is just what the doctor ordered! Our clients were vacationing at the Clearwater Beach Hilton and had been following Scott’s photography on Instagram. A photographer herself, we were honored to have been chosen to capture some amazing family moments between a grandma and her granddaughter plus all the combinations in between! We photographed the session in St Pete Beach Treasure Island on a beautiful fall afternoon. I love the outfits these ladies selected to wear at their sunset beach portrait session; the soft colors and textures look great with the sand and sky!

Treasure Island Florida Beach Wedding at Sunset Vistas Beachfront Suites

It has been such a pleasure to edit this beach elopement in Treasure Island Florida at Sunset Vistas Beachfront Suites. Here is yet another reason why I can LOVE rainy beach days… amazing directional overcast natural light with a pop of sun and clouds for drama! We have had such a busy summer photographing beach portraits and weddings and I never tire of the endless visual possibilities the beach provides. The beach is constantly evolving and the colors and natural light are different from day to day (and hour to hour). Our clients spent the week at Sunset Vistas and we were honored to capture their intimate beach wedding elopement. I’m beyond happy that same sex marriage has been legalized in the United States by the Supreme Court because everyone deserves to celebrate their loving union.

Our family and kids beach portrait sessions in Treasure Island Florida are very popular with good reason. This stretch of beach in St Pete Beach Florida offers some beautiful and varied beach terrain. My clients spent the weekend at Pass A Grille St Pete Beach Florida and scheduled us for a beach sunset session in Treasure Island. Loews Don Cesar Hotel Family Kids Beach Portrait Photos

My clients were visiting the Loews Don Cesar Hotel over the Labor Day weekend and scheduled us to photograph their family. Staying at the Don Cesar Hotel has been a family tradition and I was honored to capture memories of this year’s trip! The rainy skies paused long enough for us to photograph this sunset session before a huge rainstorm hit. The dramatic dark skies can be seen in the last image!

We have been photographing lots of families this summer who stay at the Pink Palace in St Pete Beach and we look forward to upcoming weddings we have scheduled at the Don Cesar. The beach at the Don Cesar offers amazing dunes and a near empty beach: optimal conditions for a beach photo shoot. And its always fun to feature the elegant Pink Palace in the background of some images!

Sunset in Treasure Island Beach Florida Family + Kid + Baby Photos

This little guy is beyond cute and we had a blast capturing his family in Treasure Island for a sunset beach portrait session. Our daughter and this little boy are about the same age; both have sweet brown eyes and golden blond hair. I just wanted to squeeze him the whole time! The best part was we were able to capture one of his first trips to the beach (other than as a tiny infant) and watch him enjoy exploring the sand, water and waves. The evening was gorgeous, the natural lights was soft and pretty, and the sunset was breathtaking.

Loews Don CeSar Hotel Beach Family Portraits at Sunset

I love photographing little ones, and this family was truly adorable at Loews Don CeSar Hotel family portrait session. The Don CeSar Hotel is such an elegant Pink Palace, and it provide the perfect backdrop for these beach photos in the dunes. I love how their little girl was so interactive with her mom and dad! Plus I love that they wore soft blues and white to this beach portrait session which complimented the soft overcast skies and later a magnificent sunset.

It can be tough convincing families to wake up before sunrise to meet me on the beach for a portrait session. But early morning sessions can be just as lovely as a sunset session. This morning Treasure Island family session at Sunset Vistas Beachfront Suites proves that early morning light is beautiful and worth the effort of gathering up the troops. My clients just had to walk out onto the beach to meet me for this session; Sunset Vistas is conveniently located within steps of my favorite beach areas in Treasure Island. And afterwards you can always go out for pancakes!

Clients sometimes ask me what to wear to a family beach portrait session as it can be difficult trying to coordinate clothing for a large family when everyone is traveling to meet from all over the country (and world) in this case! I love the turquoise blues and greens that this family selected, as the water and sky compliment their attire. My Pinterest board on this topic offers some inspiration.
