My clients were vacationing on Sunset Beach in Treasure Island Florida and contacted us to photograph their adorable family. I love the soft blues, corals and yellows that this family wore to their beach portrait session. I love the coordinating seersucker that Mom and daughter wore and I appreciated that they wore their hair up since it was a windy day! But the true star was the daughter who wore the cute floral sundress: her outfit and personality shined at this family beach portrait session!

Between the Raindrops In Treasure Island Beach Family Portrait Session

My clients braved the iffy weather for their portrait session in Treasure Island and I think the results are amazing. We began photographing their session in the natural grasses and palms of Treasure Island beach in beautiful cloud filtered natural sunlight. The clouds in the sky are dramatic and for good reason: a 15 minute rain storm was about to begin!

We quickly ran for cover at one of the condos facing the beach and decided to wait out the storm instead of rescheduling. After the rain, the skies were amazing; dramatic clouds with the sun peeking thru in soft pastels. Bad weather can make for great photos! Plus the beach was practically empty after the rainstorm.

Sunset Beach Lands End Condos Family Beach Photos in Treasure Island Florida

I really love photographing beach portraits on Sunset Beach at the southernmost end of Treasure Island, right in front of the Lands End Condos. My clients have been vacationing at Lands End for a number of years and their children booked us to photograph the family. This section of Sunset beach features nice dunes, a jetty and a quiet stretch of beach. The area can also be accessed by a short walk at the southern unpaved public parking area on Sunset Beach.

The sweetest part of this Sunset Beach Treasure Island family portrait session was that the kids hired me to surprise their parents on their 25th wedding anniversary. I was honored to commemorate the day!
