Longboat Key Florida + La Playa Condominiums Family Kids Baby Beach Portraits at Sunset

We have been photographing many families, couples and high school senior portraits for our clients staying on Longboat Key Florida over the past couple of years. I always look forward to photographing at this quiet section of our gulf coast beaches. This session demonstrates all of the beauty of Longboat Key in the summer with dramatic clouds after a rainy day providing soft beautiful natural light and a show-stopping sunset. My clients stayed at La Playa Condominiums, mid-way on the gulf side of Longboat Key. Scott and I noted how nice La Playa Condos seemed and we loved its beach, with its nice dunes and palms for capturing these photos. I also thought the kids matching Vineyard Vines polos were adorable! There are so many amazing images from this family beach session…

Longboat Key Florida High School Beach Senior Portraits at Sunset

Summer is a popular time for me to be photographing High School senior portraits sessions, especially at the beach. I love these sessions because it is fun to focus on one person and get creative with the environment, the attire and lighting. My client and her family were vacationing in Longboat Key Florida at Beach Place and hired me to photograph her portraits. Longboat Key offers quiet beaches and we had a little bit of fun photographing in the dunes, sea oates and palm trees at Beach Place. My clients outfits worked well with the beach surrounding and we had fun selecting which outfit to wear at which times of the evening. The sunset was beautiful that night; always an added bonus!

Sunset Vistas Beachfront Suites Morning Family Beach Portraits

This morning beach session in Treasure Island for guests of Sunset Vistas Beachfront Suites almost did not happen! After rainstorms forced us to cancel their original sunset session, we were able to reschedule to a morning sunrise session. The weather that morning was great, not a cloud in the sky. Sunrise sessions can be tough because not all kids are early risers; especially if they have been staying up late after swimming and visiting Mickey Mouse in the days prior. After a little warm up, these little ones enjoyed playing at the gorgeous Treasure Island Beach which Sunset Vistas faces. We photograph a lot of guests of Sunset Vistas because the resort is situated in Treasure Island in one of our favorite beach locations which features a wide beach, natural dunes and grasses and an optimal positioning to view the sunset .
